Why Fort Pierce & Hutchinson Island?

Is it safe for kids?

Yes. Every guest gets a properly sized life jacket and a safety briefing, and the protected water inside Fort Pierce Inlet is great for families. Drivers must be 16+ for jet skis and 18+ for boats, so kids ride along with an adult, or book a captained tour and let us do the driving.

Is it good for families?

It’s one of the best family days on the Treasure Coast. Pack the whole crew onto a boat, anchor up at the sandbar, swim in clear water and watch for dolphins. Our captained Dolphin Boat Tour takes up to 6 guests.

Will I see dolphins?

Very likely. Fort Pierce Inlet off Hutchinson Island is a known dolphin nursery, which is why Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute does its dolphin research right here. From October through May, dolphins give birth and gather in the Indian River Lagoon. They’re wild animals, but sightings here are a regular part of the day.

Why ride from Fort Pierce and Hutchinson Island?

Everything is close by. The sandbar is about 10 minutes away, waterfront restaurants are about 5 minutes away, and the inlet brings in clean, blue ocean water. You skip the long rides other locations need just to reach the good spots, so more of your rental is pure fun.

I’ve never driven a jet ski or boat. Is that OK?

Absolutely. Beginners are welcome and many of our guests are first-timers. We give you a hands-on lesson before you leave the dock, and the water here is easy to navigate.
